Custom Cabinets
Construction:
All of our cabinets are made out of 3/4" plywood with 3/4" solid wood face frame construction. No particle board is used in the construction of the boxes. The cabinet boxes are completely closed in and built to fit the exact space you want to fill. Soft close hinges and drawer glides are standard in our cabinet boxes along with rollout shelves unless you specify otherwise. No fillers are used, so every inch of the space is maximized for storage. As with all of our products, our cabinets, doors, and face frames are designed, built, and finished in house. Wood Flooring
Our solid plank wood flooring is made right here at Hardwood Artisan in Friend, NE. Below is a short video showing the manufacturing process in our shop. The raw lumber is purchased, processed and graded in house. This means we can mix and match the color, clarity, and certain defect that you desire or wish to avoid in your floor. We can run our floor planks 1" wide up to 5" out of almost any species you prefer. After it is made, we bring it to your house where it will sit for a few days to acclimate to the temperature and humidity in your home, at which time our staff will come install the floor and finish it to your liking. Wood Floor Refinishing
Hardwood floor refinishing is done by our awesome staff. They are tedious in their attention to detail and will respect you and your home in the process of refinishing your floors. Extra care is taken to keep the home clean, and get in and out quickly to make the process as painless as possible for you and your family. Check out the Gallery to see some pictures.
Custom Moldings
The same machine that makes our flooring can be set up to make custom moldings. Bring us a drawing or an idea and we can make it a reality when it comes to crown, base, or casing. If you have an old house with a molding that you can't find anywhere else, we can make knives and re-produce it.

Interior Doors
Our engineered doors by Koch and Co are very high quality and come in many sizes, styles, and wood species. We bring the doors into our finish room and spray on the finish for best results. We would be happy to install them for you as well.
Engineered doors have particle board or laminated wood cores with wood veneer glued over the top. The result is the stable performance of an engineered board with the beauty of solid wood. On the outside the doors look like a solid wood door but the inside is less likely to warp and move with the varying moisture of different seasons.

Our selection of 1 3/8″ or 1 3/4" stile and rail profiles, panel options and wood species allow you to choose doors that complement the other woodwork and cabinetry in your home.

CNC Router
We now have the ability to turn out custom products with speed due to the addition of our CNC router. If you need a custom sign made, we can make it in a matter of minutes. The CNC projects gallery below has a lot of examples of what this machine is capable of.
CAD Design Services
We use several software packages to help our clients put their thoughts on paper. CAD renderings are a great way to try different ideas without spending any money. The pictures below are drawings we have done to help customers visualize their designs. We provide these drawings at no charge to customers who purchase products from Hardwood Artisan. House plans and bigger projects are handled at an hourly rate.
